Week 7 NFL Betting Preview: Three Matchups to Watch
The NFL season is heating up, and Week 7 brings us some exciting matchups to bet on. From a Super Bowl rematch to a battle for NFC North supremacy, we’ve got you covered with our top picks and props.
Patriots vs. Jaguars: A Battle of Strengths
The Patriots head to Jacksonville to take on the Jaguars, and this one promises to be a shootout. The Jaguars’ offense has been inconsistent, but they’ve shown flashes of brilliance, ranking 16th in success rate on offense. Meanwhile, the Patriots’ defense has been struggling, surrendering a positive EPA per play in each of their past five contests.
We like the over 41.5 total points in this one, as both teams should be able to move the ball effectively. Drake Maye’s debut was impressive, and he should be able to exploit the Jaguars’ secondary. On the other side, Trevor Lawrence is due for a big game, and the Patriots’ defense is vulnerable.
Prop Bet: Evan Engram OVER 4.5 receptions (-135)
Seahawks vs. Falcons: A Trap Game?
The Seahawks head to Atlanta to take on the Falcons, and this one has all the makings of a trap game. The Falcons’ 4-2 record feels fraudulent, and they’ve been relying on smoke and mirrors to get by. Meanwhile, the Seahawks have been struggling on defense, but they’re due for a bounce-back performance.
We like the Seahawks +3 (-120) in this one, as they should be able to exploit the Falcons’ weaknesses on defense. Geno Smith has been playing well, and the Seahawks’ running game should be able to get going against the Falcons’ suspect run defense.
Prop Bet: Kenneth Walker III OVER 69.5 rushing yards (+105)
Panthers vs. Commanders: A High-Scoring Affair
The Panthers head to Washington to take on the Commanders, and this one promises to be a high-scoring affair. The Commanders’ offense has been explosive, ranking first in points per drive, while the Panthers’ defense has been struggling, allowing more points per drive than all but one team.
We like the over 51.5 total points in this one, as both teams should be able to move the ball effectively. Chuba Hubbard has been running well, and the Commanders’ run defense is suspect. Meanwhile, the Panthers’ passing game should be able to exploit the Commanders’ secondary.
Prop Bet: Chuba Hubbard OVER 69.5 rushing yards (-125)
