Love in Full Bloom: Olympic Gold Medalist Noah Lyles Proposes to Girlfriend
In a heartwarming display of love and commitment, 2024 Olympic gold medalist Noah Lyles proposed to his girlfriend, Junelle Bromfield, on Saturday. The romantic gesture was shared with the world through a video posted on Lyles’ social media accounts.
A Whirlwind Romance
Lyles and Bromfield, a Jamaican Olympic sprinter, have been dating since the summer of 2022. Their relationship has been filled with love, laughter, and a deep affection for each other. During the 2024 Paris Games, Lyles showcased his devotion to Bromfield by bringing her spikes back to her hotel room at 2 a.m. after she left them at the Olympic Village.
Going the Extra Mile
Lyles’ post-victory activities after winning the men’s 100m final were a testament to his love and dedication to Bromfield. “I’m a good boyfriend,” he joked, recalling the moment he waddled back to her hotel room with her spike bag, his bag, and toiletries in tow.
A Bronze Medalist in Her Own Right
Bromfield is no stranger to the world of track and field. She ran in the women’s 400m and 4x400m relay, as well as the 4x400m relay mixed in Paris. In Tokyo 2020, she won a bronze medal as part of Jamaica’s women’s 4x100m relay team.
Sealing the Deal
Lyles’ proposal was a romantic and intimate affair. He popped the question in front of a beautiful arrangement of pink flowers shaped into a heart, complete with candles and petals on the floor. Bromfield quickly said yes, flashing her ring for all to see. The happy couple is now engaged, and their love continues to blossom.
