Callahan Praises Ridley’s Passion, Understands Frustration

Frustration Mounts for Tennessee Titans After Latest Loss

The Tennessee Titans are reeling after their 20-17 loss to the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday, with several players expressing their discontent in the locker room. However, it was veteran wide receiver Calvin Ridley’s impassioned outburst that resonated the loudest.

Ridley’s Frustration Boils Over

“This is getting crazy,” Ridley exclaimed after the game. “I sucked today and need to do better. But I need to get the ball earlier so I can be in the game and play well.” His comments echoed the sentiments of his teammates, who are growing increasingly frustrated with their disappointing start to the season.

Coach Callahan Understands Ridley’s Frustration

On Monday, Titans coach Brian Callahan acknowledged that there were plays designed to get Ridley the ball early, but they didn’t come to fruition. Callahan praised Ridley’s passion and understood his frustration. “I love his passion,” Callahan said. “Calvin wants to win, and he’s not the first one to know that he wants to get in a rhythm.”

Titans’ Struggles Continue

Ridley’s frustrations were compounded by his lack of involvement in the game, despite being targeted eight times. The team’s struggles continued, with the Colts scoring the go-ahead touchdown in the fourth quarter. This marked the third one-score loss for the Titans this season, all of which have come with the opposing team taking the lead in the final quarter.

Simmons Calls for Improvement

Titans team captain Jeffery Simmons expressed his exasperation with the team’s performance. “We need to stop shooting ourselves in the foot,” Simmons said. “I’m tired of coming to you guys saying the same stuff every week. It’s frustrating as hell because I know how hard we work and that we can be a good team.”

Callahan Downplays Locker Room Tension

Despite the mounting frustration, Callahan doesn’t believe the locker room is unraveling. “Frustration after a loss is normal,” Callahan said. “It means the guys care; it means that they want to win.” The Titans will look to regroup and show improvement in their upcoming games against Buffalo and Detroit. If they don’t, they risk falling to 1-6.
