**ROYALS SLAM ORIOLES, ADVANCE TO ALDS WITH SWEEPING VICTORY!**

In a thrilling postseason matchup, the Kansas City Royals secured a spot in the American League Division Series with a 2-1 win over the Baltimore Orioles, sweeping their Wild Card Series in two games.

The decisive moment came in the sixth inning, when Bobby Witt Jr. hit a sharp grounder to the right side of the infield. Jordan Westburg, the Orioles’ second baseman, made a spectacular diving stop, but Witt’s blazing speed allowed him to reach first base just ahead of the throw. The run scored from third, giving the Royals the lead they wouldn’t relinquish.

This marked the second straight game in which Witt, the American League batting champion, delivered the game-winning hit. His RBI single in Game 1 proved to be the difference in a 1-0 Royals victory.

After overcoming two seven-game losing skids in the final month of the regular season, the Royals will now face off against the New York Yankees, champions of the AL East, in the Division Series. The best-of-five series begins Saturday in the Bronx.
