**Women’s College Basketball Powerhouse Sees Unprecedented Demand**
In a remarkable display of enthusiasm, the University of South Carolina’s women’s basketball team has shattered records, selling out their entire season ticket allotment of 13,046 seats at the 18,000-capacity Colonial Life Arena. This unprecedented feat marks a new program high, solidifying the team’s position as a force to be reckoned with in the world of women’s college basketball.
Last season, the Gamecocks dominated the court, boasting a perfect 38-0 record and claiming the national championship title. Their impressive performance drew in massive crowds, with an average attendance of 16,067 fans per game. The University of Iowa, led by the talented Caitlin Clark, came in second with an average of 14,914 fans per game.
The Gamecocks have consistently led the NCAA in average attendance for women’s games since 2015, amassing an impressive three national titles and eight Southeastern Conference tournament titles during that span.
Coach Dawn Staley expressed her gratitude and awe, stating, “When I first arrived at South Carolina, I never imagined the incredible fanbase that would develop. The people of this community and state have gone above and beyond to support our program, exceeding my wildest expectations.”
