**F**k the Haters, Mayo’s Riding with Brissett as Pats’ QB1

In the aftermath of their disappointing 30-13 loss to the San Francisco 49ers, the New England Patriots’ coaching staff has reaffirmed their commitment to starting quarterback Jacoby Brissett. Despite a costly interception returned for a touchdown in the second quarter, Brissett will remain under center when the Patriots host the Miami Dolphins on Sunday.

Head coach Jerod Mayo emphasized Brissett’s leadership qualities, saying, “He’s done a good job doing what we’ve asked. Are there a lot of plays he could do a better job? Absolutely. But I would never question his toughness, dependability, and leadership style for this team. That’s what we need right now.”

Brissett has faced significant pressure this season, with 15 sacks and 40 hits recorded through four games. The Patriots’ offensive line has struggled to contain opposing defenses, and the team’s pass catchers have failed to consistently threaten in the intermediate and deep parts of the field.

Mayo acknowledged the frustration from fans and media, who are eager to see rookie quarterback Drake Maye take the field. However, the coach remains committed to the team’s original plan, saying, “We came into the season with a plan and we’re going to execute that plan, knowing that we’ll take our bumps and bruises along the way.”

With Brissett at the helm, the Patriots will look to bounce back from their sluggish start to the season and secure a much-needed victory against the Dolphins on Sunday.
