BEIJING – In a dominant performance, 21-year-old tennis sensation Carlos Alcaraz secured his 200th tour-level victory, defeating Tallon Griekspoor 6-1, 6-2 at the China Open on Sunday. This milestone achievement makes him the third player born in this century to reach the 200-win mark, joining elite company alongside Jannik Sinner and Felix Auger-Aliassime.
“I’m thrilled about this achievement, but I’m already setting my sights on the next hundred wins,” Alcaraz said. “I want to maintain my momentum and keep pushing myself to new heights.”
In other men’s matches, local favorite Bu Yunchaokete pulled off a stunning upset, defeating Paris Olympics bronze medalist Lorenzo Musetti 6-2, 6-4.
