**F**king Nightmare: Steelers RB Cordarrelle Patterson Sidelines with Freaking Ankle Injury

In a significant setback for the Pittsburgh Steelers’ offense, star running back Cordarrelle Patterson was forced to exit the game against the Indianapolis Colts due to an ankle injury sustained in the second quarter. The team was already reeling from the loss of another key running back.

At the time of Patterson’s departure, the Steelers were trailing 17-3. The injury occurred during the team’s most promising drive of the afternoon, which saw Patterson pick up a crucial first down in the red zone with a 10-yard gain. However, the momentum was short-lived, as wide receiver George Pickens fumbled the ball near the goal line on the very next play, resulting in a turnover.

Prior to his exit, Patterson had been having a strong game, averaging 7.2 yards per carry with 43 yards on six attempts, as well as two catches for 19 yards. In his absence, the Steelers relied on Najee Harris and practice squad running back Aaron Shampklin to fill the void. Unfortunately, Harris struggled to make an impact, managing only 8 yards on eight carries early in the third quarter. Shampklin, on the other hand, contributed a 5-yard gain on his lone carry before halftime.
