**FUCKING FOOTBALL FOR THE WIN**

Top-tier soccer star set to rejoin national team for crucial World Cup qualifiers

Gerardo Martino, head coach of a prominent American soccer club, has confirmed that his team’s star forward will be available to join his national team for the upcoming international window. The player, who has been recovering from a right ankle injury, will participate in World Cup qualifiers against Venezuela and Bolivia.

The forward last played for his national team during the 2024 Copa América, where he played a crucial role in securing the championship title. However, he suffered an injury in the final match against Colombia and was sidelined for over two months, missing the September international window.

Although the national team’s official squad for the October games has not been announced, Martino is optimistic about the player’s return to form. “He’s going to get better and better as he adds 90 minutes,” Martino said. “He needs a rhythm of competition, which gives me the idea that he is going to reach the playoffs very well.”

The player returned to action for his club on September 14, helping his team secure a 3-1 victory over a rival squad. With several games remaining in the season, Martino believes the player will be at his best for the playoffs.

The club currently leads the Eastern Conference and Supporters’ Shield standings with 64 points from 30 games. They have a chance to clinch the shield with victories in their next two games and are on track to break the league record for most points recorded in a single season.

“We’re in a decisive position to try to be first overall,” Martino said. “We’ll see how the games progress and what the needs are that we’re having. It works well to prioritize the search for the objective first, especially because after these three games come the FIFA date, some players will obviously continue competing, but the rest of us have a week to recover.”

Beyond the race for the shield, the club’s position on the table has secured them a slot in the 2025 Concacaf Champions League.
