**Injury Update: Star Wide Receiver on Track to Return**
Lake Forest, IL – After weeks of battling a nagging heel injury, Chicago’s star wide receiver is poised to make his return to the field against the Los Angeles Rams. The 32-year-old veteran has been dealing with the issue since training camp, which has kept him sidelined for two consecutive games.
In a recent interview, the receiver revealed that the injury has been plaguing him since mid-August, initially presenting as a bruise on his heel. However, it eventually developed into plantar fasciitis after a particularly grueling play in the end zone.
Despite the setback, the receiver remains optimistic about his prospects for the remainder of the season. “It’s just a wear-and-tear type of deal,” he explained. “We’re taking it day by day, week by week, seeing how I feel.”
After participating in limited capacity during Wednesday and Thursday’s practices, the receiver was upgraded to a full participant on Friday. His coach expressed confidence in his availability for the upcoming game against the Rams, scheduled for 1 p.m. ET on Fox.
Meanwhile, rookie wide receiver Rome Odunze, who appeared on Thursday’s injury report with a hip issue, has been cleared to play. Right tackle Darnell Wright, nursing a back injury, is also expected to take the field.
