The Los Angeles Clippers have secured a key piece of their roster, inking versatile guard Terance Mann to a three-year, $47 million contract extension. Mann, who will turn 28 next month, enjoyed a breakout season last year, starting a career-high 71 games and averaging 8.8 points and 3.4 rebounds per contest.
With the departure of veteran Paul George and Kawhi Leonard’s ongoing recovery from knee surgery, Mann is poised to take on a more prominent role in the Clippers’ lineup. This new opportunity will allow him to showcase his skills and prove himself as a valuable asset to the team.
“I’m thrilled to re-sign with the organization that has supported me from day one,” Mann said in a statement. “It’s been an incredible journey over the past five seasons, and I’m excited to see what the future holds.”
Mann, a second-round draft pick in 2019, has developed into a prized homegrown talent, capable of playing and defending multiple positions. The Clippers’ front office values his defensive mindset and competitive spirit, which aligns with their goal of building a younger, more agile roster.
While the team may still explore trade opportunities down the line, Mann’s extension provides stability and continuity for the Clippers. His deal is eligible to be traded immediately, giving the team flexibility in their future roster decisions.
