In a thrilling matchup, Kyrin Galloway led the charge against his former team, scoring 10 crucial points in the fourth quarter to secure a 101-97 victory for his new squad. Rob Edwards stole the show with an impressive 31-point performance, including six three-pointers, to seal the deal for the home team.
Despite missing key players due to injury and suspension, the home team rallied together to deliver an electrifying performance in front of their enthusiastic crowd. Galloway’s explosive start to the fourth quarter sparked a 17-2 run, which proved to be the turning point in the game.
The visiting team fought hard to stay within striking distance, but Edwards’ clutch shooting and all-around performance ultimately proved too much to overcome. Sam Waardenburg chipped in with 21 points, 11 rebounds, and four assists, while Jonah Antonio and Pedro Bradshaw added 13 and 10 points, respectively.
Coach Adam Forde praised his team’s resilience and defensive prowess, citing their ability to adapt and overcome adversity as the key to their success. “We showed great character and determination to bounce back from last week’s loss,” Forde said. “Our defense was solid, and when our shots weren’t falling, we found ways to win on the other end of the court.”
Meanwhile, the visiting team struggled to contain their opponents’ potent offense, allowing them to shoot over 50% from the field for the second consecutive game. Despite a valiant effort from DJ Vasiljevic, who scored 24 points, and Montrezl Harrell, who added 20 points and five rebounds, the visitors were unable to overcome their defensive woes. Coach Mike Wells acknowledged his team’s struggles, stating, “We need to tighten up our defense if we want to start winning games.”
