In a significant development, the Green Bay Packers are set to welcome back their star quarterback to the lineup this weekend. After a three-week absence due to a knee injury, the signal caller is expected to take the field against the Minnesota Vikings at Lambeau Field.
The team’s faith in their quarterback’s swift recovery was evident when they opted not to place him on injured reserve, indicating a strong belief that he would miss fewer than four games. Initially, there were concerns that the injury could keep him sidelined for up to six weeks.
Despite missing two games, the Packers have fared well with their backup quarterback at the helm, notching victories against the Indianapolis Colts and Tennessee Titans. However, the team is eager to have their starter back under center, and his return to practice last week was a promising sign.
When asked about his progress, the quarterback expressed optimism, stating, “I feel like I’m getting better every day, moving around, getting out there practicing and feeling better.” His mobility has shown significant improvement, and he’s poised to make a strong comeback.
In other roster moves, the Packers have elevated cornerbacks Kamal Hadden and Robert Rochell from the practice squad to the active roster, providing depth in the secondary as cornerback Jaire Alexander nurses quad and groin injuries.
