**Orioles Shake Up Roster with Recent Moves**
The Baltimore Orioles made some significant changes to their lineup on Tuesday, activating first baseman Ryan Mountcastle from the 10-day injured list after a month-long absence due to a sprained left wrist. Mountcastle, who has been hitting.265 with 13 home runs and 61 RBIs, is expected to bring a much-needed boost to the team’s right-handed hitters.
In other moves, the Orioles released veteran reliever Craig Kimbrel, a nine-time All-Star with 440 career saves, and optioned outfielder Eloy Jiménez to Triple-A Norfolk. Kimbrel had struggled with a 5.33 ERA and 23 saves in 29 chances since joining the team on a $13 million, one-year contract. Jiménez, who was acquired at the trade deadline, hit.232 with one homer and seven RBIs in 33 games for the Orioles.
The team has been busy in recent days, also reinstating right-handed relief pitcher Jacob Webb, outfielder Heston Kjerstad, left-handed relief pitcher Danny Coulombe, infielder Jordan Westburg, and third baseman Ramon Urias from the injured list. However, right-hander Grayson Rodriguez, who has been sidelined since July 31 with a right lat injury, remains out and did not make the trip with the team.
