**Investigation Launched into Alleged Biting Incident in Championship Match**
The governing body of English football has launched an investigation into an alleged biting incident that occurred during a recent Championship match between Preston and Blackburn Rovers. According to sources, Blackburn defender Owen Beck, on loan from Liverpool, accused Preston forward Milutin Osmajic of biting him during the first half of the 0-0 draw.
Although Osmajic was only given a yellow card by the referee, Blackburn manager John Eustace claims that Beck has a visible bite mark on the back of his neck. “It’s a very serious incident, and no one likes to be bitten,” Eustace said in a post-game interview. “Everyone’s angry about it. It’s not a nice situation to be in.”
The governing body is taking the incident seriously and has begun an investigation. In the past, similar incidents have resulted in severe penalties, including a 10-match suspension for a former Liverpool player in 2013.
Preston manager Paul Heckingbottom condemned the alleged behavior, stating, “There is no place for biting in the game. Mistimed tackles are part of the game, but anything that crosses the line is dealt with accordingly.” Although Heckingbottom did not witness the incident, he emphasized that such behavior will not be tolerated.
