**Bengals Suffer Setback as Key Player Exits with Knee Injury**
In a concerning turn of events, Cincinnati Bengals’ right tackle Trent Brown was forced to leave the field on a medical cart during Monday night’s matchup against the Washington Commanders. The 10-year veteran suffered an apparent knee injury while in pass protection during the second quarter.
Brown, who signed a one-year deal worth up to $4.75 million in the offseason, clutched his right knee in pain and was subsequently ruled out for the remainder of the game. This marks a significant setback for the Bengals, as Brown was making his third start of the season.
Rookie Amarius Mims, the team’s first-round pick, stepped in to replace Brown. Mims made his highly anticipated NFL debut after missing the first two games due to a pectoral injury sustained in the preseason opener. Despite the setback, Mims had impressed coaches and fans alike during offseason workouts and training camp, and was initially slated to be the team’s starting right tackle before his injury.
