CLEVELAND – Star defensive lineman Myles Garrett is set to undergo an MRI to assess the severity of a nagging foot injury that he exacerbated during Sunday’s matchup against the New York Giants. The issue forced Garrett to receive medical attention on the field in the fourth quarter, and he later limped off the field at the end of a drive.
Following the 21-15 defeat, Garrett revealed that the foot problem is having a ripple effect on his lower leg, causing a cascade of related issues. “It’s not just one thing,” he explained. “There are multiple factors at play. If I think my foot is feeling better, something else starts to act up. It’s a vicious cycle, and nothing has a chance to fully heal because I’m compensating in other areas.”
Garrett previously disclosed that the foot issue, which first appeared on the injury report after Week 1, affects both feet. He also hinted that he might require a procedure in the future but plans to continue playing for now. When asked about his concerns regarding the injury, Garrett remained nonchalant, stating, “I’m not worried about something I don’t know about. We’ll get the test results and go from there.”
Meanwhile, Browns coach Kevin Stefanski announced that three offensive linemen – left tackle Jedrick Wills Jr., Wyatt Teller, and James Hudson III – will also undergo testing to determine the extent of their injuries, which they sustained during the game.
