**MLS Power Rankings: Week 29**
The latest round of MLS action has come to a close, and it’s time to reassess the league’s pecking order. Our rankings combine key season statistics, recent performance, and expert analysis to provide a comprehensive picture of the league.
**1. Inter Miami (Previous ranking: 1)**
Despite being outshot and outplayed in patches, Inter Miami salvaged a draw against NYCFC at Yankee Stadium. With a six-point lead and four games to go, the league leaders are still in the driver’s seat for the Shield.
**2. Columbus Crew (Previous ranking: 2)**
The Crew bounced back from a midweek win over Toronto with a thrilling 4-3 victory over Orlando. With 56 points and a game in hand, they’re well-positioned to challenge Miami for the top spot.
**3. LA Galaxy (Previous ranking: 4)**
The Galaxy recovered from a 4-2 loss in Portland with a 4-2 win over Vancouver. They hold a seven-point lead in the West and are favorites to make a deep playoff run.
**4. FC Cincinnati (Previous ranking: 3)**
Cincy fought back from two goals down to earn a point on the road in Nashville. They’re undefeated in their last four games, but face a tough test in their final four matches.
**5. LAFC (Previous ranking: 5)**
LAFC may be focused on the US Open Cup Final, but they’ve been dropping points lately. A loss on the road in Frisco kept them winless in the regular season since late August.
**6. Houston Dynamo (Previous ranking: 6)**
Houston is undefeated in its last five games, capped off by a 1-0 win over Austin FC. Coco Carrasquilla’s stunning bicycle kick sealed all three points on the road.
**7. Real Salt Lake (Previous ranking: 11)**
RSL concedes a lot, but scores a lot too. They walked away with a 3-2 win and a 3-3 draw in their last two games, despite fumbling a two-goal lead.
**8. Colorado Rapids (Previous ranking: 7)**
Colorado took a hit against SKC in the midweek, but recovered with a 2-0 win over Toronto at home. Reggie Cannon opened the scoring with his first goal for the Rapids.
**9. NYCFC (Previous ranking: 12)**
The Pigeons held league-leaders Miami off for most of the match, out-shooting and often out-producing the visitors. James Sands’ 95th-minute equalizer earned them a valuable point.
**10. Orlando City SC (Previous ranking: 9)**
Orlando put up a valiant fight in a 4-3 loss to Columbus at home, outshooting the Crew and nearly doubling their xG.
