**Dumbass of the Week: Michigan Moron Exploits Kid to Troll Quinn Ewers with “Horns Down” Stunt**

A Disturbing Display of Poor Sportsmanship

I’m compelled to speak out against a disturbing incident that occurred at a recent college football game. It’s not about the teams involved, but rather the appalling behavior of a parent who sought to embarrass a player for personal gain.

What’s shocking is that this individual had privileged access to the field, leading me to expect a higher level of decorum. Instead, they orchestrated a deceitful stunt that exploited their own child and disrespected a player who was simply trying to be kind.

The scenario unfolded like this: the parent had their young child, around 8 years old, request a photo with the player after the game. As the player prepared for the picture, the parent signaled for the child to throw a rival team’s gesture, capturing the moment on camera. This was a deliberate setup, using an innocent child to generate online attention.

What’s infuriating is that the player was willing to take the time to create a special moment for the child, only to be manipulated by the parent’s selfish agenda. It’s a stark reminder that some individuals will stop at nothing to seek validation, even if it means compromising their own integrity and that of their child.

Let’s allow children to enjoy these experiences without being used as pawns in their parents’ games. And let’s show respect to athletes who take the time to engage with fans, especially when they’re trying to do something nice. A genuine photo opportunity with a player could create lifelong memories for the child, but instead, this parent chose to prioritize fleeting online fame.

It’s a sad reflection of our society when adults prioritize social media attention over teaching their children valuable lessons about sportsmanship and respect.
