The Carolina Panthers’ quarterback situation is a mess, and it’s hard to ignore the struggles of their young signal-caller. Despite being the top pick in the draft, he’s failed to impress, and his stats are a testament to his lack of confidence on the field. In his latest outing, he managed a dismal 13/30 for 161 yards, no touchdowns, and two interceptions, with a meaningless rushing touchdown in garbage time.
To make matters worse, the Panthers gave up a king’s ransom to acquire him, including a talented wide receiver and multiple high draft picks. One of those picks turned into a potential franchise quarterback, leaving many to wonder if this trade will go down as one of the worst in NFL history.
With 17 starts under his belt, the young quarterback has yet to produce a single memorable performance. He’s often looked overmatched and undersized, struggling to make an impact against even mediocre defenses. His rookie classmates, on the other hand, have shown flashes of brilliance, leaving fans to wonder what’s holding him back.
The only glimmer of hope is the Panthers’ history of rehabilitating quarterbacks. Perhaps, with a change of scenery, this young quarterback will find his footing and thrive. But for now, his lack of progress is a major concern. The arrival of a new offensive coordinator was supposed to be a turning point, but so far, it’s been more of the same – ugly performances and a lack of confidence.
