The 67th Annual Grammy Awards: A Night to Remember
After a month of devastating wildfires, the show must go on, and the Recording Academy is ready to bring the heat to downtown LA’s Crypto.com Arena. Trevor Noah returns for his fifth consecutive year as host, promising an unforgettable night of egos, performances, and maybe a few awkward moments.
Performances to Watch
The Grammy’s always deliver when it comes to mashing up artists for unforgettable collaborative performances. This year’s lineup includes Benson Boone, Billie Eilish, Charli XCX, Doechii, Lady Gaga & Bruno Mars, RAYE, Sabrina Carpenter, Shaboozey, Shakira, Teddy Swims, and more. Keep an eye out for surprise performers, too!
Tribute Segments
The evening will also feature special tribute segments, including covers, dedications, and duets from Brad Paisley, Brittany Howard, Chris Martin, Cynthia Erivo, Herbie Hancock, Jacob Collier, Janelle Monáe, John Legend, Lainey Wilson, Sheryl Crow, St. Vincent, and Stevie Wonder.
Awards Predictions
Beyoncé leads the pack with 11 nominations for her country-tinged album Cowboy Carter, making her the most-nominated artist of all time. We predict she’ll take home at least half of those nominations. Taylor Swift is close behind with six nods for her album The Tortured Poets Department, but we don’t think she’ll win Album of the Year. Kendrick Lamar is a front-runner for Best Rap Performance with seven nominations, and Charli XCX deserves recognition for her dance-centric hits.
Newcomers to Watch
This year’s Best New Artist nominees include Chappell Roan, Benson Boone, Teddy Swims, Sabrina Carpenter, and Raye. While they may not be household names yet, they’ve been making waves in the music scene. We think Benson Boone, Teddy Swims, and Raye have the best shot at taking home the award.
Honoring Quincy Jones
One of the evening’s highlights will be a tribute to the legendary Quincy Jones, featuring performances from Herbie Hancock and Stevie Wonder. This will be a moment to remember, so don’t miss it!
Shakira Takes the Stage
Fresh from her divorce, Shakira is ready to bring the heat with her signature hip-swiveling moves. We can’t wait to see her performance!
