Buckeyes on the Brink: A New Era of College Football Dominance

A New Era Unfolds for the Buckeyes

The news is out: Chip Kelly is leaving Columbus to return to the NFL. While this may come as a shock to some, it was only a matter of time before Kelly’s talents were sought after at the highest level. As a Buckeyes fan, I’m grateful for the national title he brought to Ohio State, but I’m also aware that his departure creates a power vacuum that needs to be filled.

A Golden Opportunity Awaits

With vacancies at Defensive Coordinator, Offensive Line Coach, and now Offensive Coordinator, the Buckeyes have a chance to attract top talent to their coaching staff. This is an opportunity to build a dream team, and I believe Ohio State should aim high. After all, the Buckeyes boast an impressive roster, featuring the best player in the country, Jeremiah Smith, for at least two more years, as well as a 5-star QB in Julian Sayin or St. Clair.

A Talent-Rich Roster

The Buckeyes’ offensive line has gained valuable experience from playing 16 games, and their WR room is arguably the best in the country, featuring Carnell Tate, Brandon Inniss, Mylan Graham, and Max Klare, the top tight end in the portal. Whoever takes the helm of this team will have the luxury of working with an incredibly talented group of players.

The Ultimate Career Launchpad

This coaching position is not just a coveted spot in college football; it’s a launching pad for any coach looking to take their career to the next level. With the Buckeyes’ reputation and resources, the next coach will have the opportunity to make a name for themselves and potentially land any job in America within a year or two.

Exploring All Options

While Brian Harline may be a strong contender for the job, I believe it’s essential to explore all options before making a decision. That means considering big-name coaches like Lincoln Riley, Lane Kiffin, and Sark, as well as up-and-coming talent. Ultimately, my gut tells me that Hartline and Kevin Wilson may be the right fit, but I wouldn’t hesitate to reach out to other top coaches to gauge their interest.

The Future is Bright

As the Buckeyes embark on this new chapter, one thing is clear: the future is bright. With the right coaching staff in place, Ohio State has the potential to dominate the college football landscape for years to come. It’s time to think big, aim high, and bring in the best talent to lead this team to victory.
