AJ Brown, the Eagles’ star wide receiver, has found himself in a unique situation this season. With three different quarterbacks throwing to him, it’s no wonder he might get confused about who’s under center. He’s caught touchdown passes from Jalen Hurts, Kenny Pickett, and now Tanner McKee. Today, Brown caught a beautiful back-shoulder throw from McKee, but in the excitement of the moment, he forgot that it was McKee’s first career touchdown pass. In a split second, he launched the ball 20 rows into the stands, only to realize his mistake.

Being the team player that he is, Brown knew he had to make things right. He took a cue from his favorite game show and proposed a deal to the lucky fan who caught the ball. In exchange for the historic touchdown ball, Brown offered a signed, game-worn kelly green jersey from the game where the Eagles clinched the NFC East. It was a deal too good to pass up.
A Smart Move or a Potential Regret?
While the market value of the ball might not be high right now, you never know what the future holds. If McKee goes on to become one of the greatest quarterbacks in NFL history, that ball could be worth millions. But for now, it’s a great move by Brown and a solid deal for the fan.
