Week 15 NFL Predictions: A Crucial Stretch in the Playoff Race
As we enter the final stretch of the NFL season, every game takes on added significance. After a subpar two weeks, I bounced back with a 9-7 record in Week 15, bringing my season total to 122-96-6. Here’s a breakdown of this week’s matchups:
Thursday Night Football: AFC Playoff Implications
The Broncos and Chargers face off in a crucial AFC showdown. Both teams are currently in the playoff picture, but a win would secure a spot for the Broncos, while the Chargers would strengthen their position. I’m backing the Chargers, as Justin Herbert’s experience will prove decisive against a Broncos defense prone to forcing turnovers.
Saturday’s Doubleheader
In the first game, the Texans will take on the Chiefs, who are dealing with Patrick Mahomes’ ankle injury. With the Chiefs playing again on Christmas Day, I’m siding with the Texans, who boast a solid defense and have a history of close games against their division rivals. Later, the Steelers will face the Ravens in a rematch of their earlier 18-16 encounter. Expect another tight contest, with the Ravens emerging victorious.
Sunday’s Early Games
The Falcons will start rookie quarterback Michael Pennix against the Giants, who are struggling to stay competitive. I’m predicting a comfortable win for the Falcons, who are 8.5-point favorites. Meanwhile, the Panthers will look to rebound against the Cardinals, who are still seeking consistency. I’m backing the Panthers to come out on top.
More Sunday Action
The Lions will aim to bounce back from their loss to the Bills, and I expect them to dominate the Bears, who have been struggling since their Thanksgiving defeat. The Bengals will try to keep their playoff hopes alive against the Browns, who are already looking to next season. Joe Burrow should have a big day, leading the Bengals to a convincing win.
Sunday’s Late Games
The Colts will face the Titans in a must-win game, but I think they’ll come out strong and take control. The Jets, meanwhile, will look to play spoiler against the Rams, who are struggling to find consistency. In the NFC East, the Eagles will aim to clinch their division title and stay in the hunt for the top seed. Saquon Barkley should have another big game against Washington.
Sunday Night Football
The Vikings will put their seven-game winning streak on the line against the Seahawks, who are desperate to bounce back from a disappointing loss. This one feels like a trap game for the Vikings, but I’m backing them to come out on top. Josh Allen and the Bills will look to keep their momentum going against the Patriots, with a shot at home-field advantage still in play.
Monday Night Football
The Raiders will face the Jaguars in a battle of two teams out of the playoff race. While the Raiders may be tanking for the top pick, I think the Jaguars have too much talent and will come out on top. Finally, the Packers will take on the Saints, who are down to their third-string quarterback. This one has blowout written all over it.
