NHL Hockey is Back on TV: A Packed Schedule Awaits
Hockey fans, rejoice! The 2024-25 NHL season is underway, and with it comes a slew of exciting matchups to look forward to. This season, ESPN networks will be your go-to destination for all things hockey, with over 100 exclusive games across ESPN, ESPN+, Hulu, and ABC.
A Tripleheader to Kick Off the Season
The broadcast season began on October 8 with a thrilling tripleheader. The St. Louis Blues took on the Seattle Kraken at 4:30 p.m. ET, followed by the Boston Bruins facing off against the Florida Panthers at 7 p.m. ET. Rounding out the evening was a matchup between the Chicago Blackhawks and the Utah Hockey Club at 10 p.m. ET.
NHL Frozen Frenzy Returns
On October 22, the NHL Frozen Frenzy made its highly anticipated return. This special night of hockey featured all 32 teams in action, including a tripleheader on ESPN. The Washington Capitals faced off against the Philadelphia Flyers, while the Colorado Avalanche took on the Seattle Kraken, and the Los Angeles Kings battled the Vegas Golden Knights.
More Exciting Events to Come
In addition to the regular season schedule, there are several other exciting events to look forward to. The NHL 4 Nations Faceoff will take place from February 12-20, featuring teams of NHL players representing the United States, Canada, Finland, and Sweden in a round-robin tournament. The Stadium Series will also return on March 1, with the Columbus Blue Jackets hosting the Detroit Red Wings at Ohio Stadium.
