NFL Teams Get Sassy on Social Media: Week 7 Highlights

NFL Teams Bring the Heat with Sassy Social Media Posts

Week 7 of the NFL season was filled with thrilling matchups, stunning upsets, and plenty of trash talk on social media. From clever memes to witty one-liners, teams took to Twitter to troll their opponents and celebrate their victories.

Seahawks Soar to Victory

The Seattle Seahawks snapped their three-game losing streak with a convincing 34-14 win over the Atlanta Falcons. To rub it in, they posted a spin on the popular hip-hop track “Swag Surfin’” by Fast Life Yungstaz, a nod to the Falcons’ home turf. They also created a customized graphic mimicking Outkast’s “Aquemini” album cover, complete with a reference to Kirk Cousins’ infamous “you like that?!” catchphrase.

Eagles Fly High

The Philadelphia Eagles dominated the New York Giants 28-3, thanks in part to Saquon Barkley’s impressive performance. The Eagles’ social media team had a field day, using Barkley in a graphic and referencing the Big Apple’s nickname. “Took a BIG bite,” they tweeted, accompanied by a juicy apple emoji.

Colts Hook a Win

The Indianapolis Colts edged out the Miami Dolphins 16-10, with Anthony Richardson leading the charge. To celebrate, the Colts posted a clip of Michael Pittman Jr. “fishing” for a W, a clever nod to the Dolphins’ aquatic namesake. “Fresh catch,” they quipped.

Bills Go on a Tear

The Buffalo Bills came from behind to trounce the Tennessee Titans 34-10, scoring 34 consecutive points in the process. Josh Allen threw for a season-high 323 yards, and rookie Keon Coleman had a career-high 125 receiving yards. The Bills’ social media team had a blast, “fixing” a nearly two-year-old tweet from the Titans unveiling their new stadium rendering to include the final score.

Commanders Conquer

The Washington Commanders routed the Carolina Panthers 40-7, with Jayden Daniels and Marcus Mariota leading the charge. To rub it in, the Commanders posted an edited video in response to a pregame post from the Panthers.

Rams Snap Losing Streak

The Los Angeles Rams snapped their two-game losing streak with a 20-15 win over the Las Vegas Raiders, thanks to a strong defensive performance. They forced four turnovers, including three interceptions thrown by Gardner Minshew. To celebrate, the Rams tweeted a simple yet effective phrase: “Just won, baby.”
