Robinson Returns to Practice: “I Feel Great”

Commanders Get Boost with Robinson’s Return to Practice

The Washington Commanders received a much-needed injection of optimism on Wednesday as running back Brian Robinson Jr. took part in practice, sparking hopes of his return to the field on Sunday. After missing last weekend’s 30-23 loss to the Baltimore Ravens due to a right knee injury, Robinson’s participation in practice was a welcome sight.

A Limited but Promising Start

Although Robinson was limited in his activities, it marked a significant improvement from last week when he missed the entire week of practice. He went through all the drills with the other running backs, running routes, and taking handoffs, which has fueled speculation about his availability for Sunday’s game against the Carolina Panthers (1-5).

Robinson’s Confidence Soars

The 23-year-old running back, who leads the team with 325 yards rushing and eight receptions for 68 yards, is feeling optimistic about his chances of playing on Sunday. “I feel great,” Robinson said. “I feel more like myself again.” His return would be a significant boost to the Commanders’ offense, which struggled to gain traction against the Ravens, managing only 52 yards on the ground.

A Week Off Proves Beneficial

Robinson credits the week off with helping him recover from the injury. “It helped tremendously,” he said. His teammates are also excited about his potential return, with quarterback Jayden Daniels praising Robinson’s versatility. “B-Rob is a special player, how he’s able to run the ball, how he’s able to break tackles,” Daniels said. “People don’t give him a lot of credit for his hands out of the backfield in the passing game. It will be helpful to have B-Rob back; looking forward to it.”

Official Status to Be Decided on Friday

While Robinson’s participation in practice is a positive sign, his official status for Sunday’s game won’t be confirmed until Friday. Nevertheless, the Commanders (4-2) will be hoping to have their star running back back in the lineup as they look to bounce back from last week’s defeat.
