Patriots’ Rhamondre Stevenson Back in Action
The wait is almost over for New England Patriots fans as running back Rhamondre Stevenson makes a promising return to practice ahead of their highly anticipated game against the Jacksonville Jaguars at Wembley Stadium on Sunday.
Overcoming Adversity
Stevenson’s foot injury, sustained during an Oct. 6 loss to the Miami Dolphins, had initially seemed manageable. However, it took a surprising turn for the worse, forcing him to miss the team’s recent loss to the Houston Texans and sit out five consecutive practices. Despite this setback, Stevenson is now trending towards a comeback, much to the delight of Patriots supporters.
Feeling Confident
“I’m feeling good right now,” Stevenson declared after Friday’s practice at the Harrow School in northwest London. “I had to take a couple of days off, but I’m feeling like I should be able to play on Sunday.” With 356 rushing yards, 77 carries, and three touchdowns under his belt, Stevenson’s return is a significant boost to the Patriots’ offense.
Depth Chart Dynamics
Stevenson is set to rejoin fellow running backs Antonio Gibson and JaMycal Hasty, both seasoned five-year veterans. Meanwhile, rookie quarterback Drake Maye is also gearing up for action after being listed on the team’s injury report for the first time this season due to a knee issue. Maye, a full participant in practices all week, exuded confidence, saying, “I’m feeling good. These last two days, I felt good out there at practice. I’m feeling good now. I’m ready to go for Sunday.”
Sunday Showdown
As the Patriots prepare to take on the Jaguars at Wembley Stadium, the return of Stevenson and Maye’s readiness signal a promising start to the week. With the game just around the corner, Patriots fans can breathe a sigh of relief knowing their team is getting back to full strength.
