In a thrilling display of athleticism, the Houston Texans’ potent pair of quarterback C.J. Stroud and wide receiver Nico Collins linked up for a jaw-dropping 67-yard scoring strike, propelling their team to a 14-3 advantage in the opening quarter against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday.
As the Texans embarked on their third drive of the contest, Stroud unleashed a majestic deep ball that sailed 59 yards through the air, finding Collins, who had cleverly slipped behind the Bills’ defense. The NFL’s top receiver in terms of yardage effortlessly strolled into the end zone, capping off a scorching start to the game in Houston.
However, the excitement was tempered by concern as Collins sustained an injury on the play and made his way to the locker room, with his return to the game uncertain. Prior to this electrifying score, Cam Akers had gotten the Texans on the board with a 15-yard rushing touchdown, narrowing the deficit to 7-3.
