**FSU Linebacker DJ Lundy Fucking Done for the Season**

In a significant blow to the Florida State Seminoles, head coach Mike Norvell revealed on Wednesday that senior linebacker DJ Lundy will be sidelined for the remainder of the 2024 season. Lundy, a veteran of 50 games and 22 starts, has been a crucial component of the team’s defense.

Although the specifics of Lundy’s injury remain undisclosed, his absence was felt in last week’s loss to Clemson. Despite playing in five games this season, Lundy may still be eligible for a medical redshirt, which could grant him an additional year of eligibility. However, Norvell expressed uncertainty regarding Lundy’s future plans.

This season, Lundy tallied 25 tackles, including one for a loss, and a pass breakup. His presence will be deeply felt, particularly given the team’s current defensive struggles. Florida State ranks near the bottom of the national rankings in defensive success rate (97th), defensive efficiency (95th), and missed tackles (128th).

In Lundy’s absence, the Seminoles will rely on sophomore Blake Nichelson and redshirt sophomore Omar Graham Jr. to fill the void at linebacker. The duo will need to step up to help stabilize a defense that has been plagued by inconsistency this season.
