In a heartfelt letter to Mavericks employees, Marshall reflected on her journey, stating, “My initial three-year commitment has more than doubled in time. I treasure every moment of our shared journey. Together, we’ve elevated the Mavs, enriched our communities, and advanced our industry. You’ve made me a better person, and I pray that I’m leaving a lasting legacy.”

Mavericks Governor Patrick Dumont praised Marshall, saying, “Cynt is a force of nature, bringing people together with her extraordinary leadership. Her impact on this franchise will be felt for generations to come.” Mark Cuban, the team’s former owner, added, “Cynt has led the Mavericks to unprecedented heights with grace and integrity, leaving a shining legacy that will continue to inspire the community.”

As Marshall prepares to pass the torch, she will remain involved with the franchise as a consultant until December 2025. The Richmond, California, native, who turns 65 on December 15, will undoubtedly continue to inspire and empower future generations of leaders.
