**Pierce Gets Slapped with Show-Cause Penalty for ASU’s Fucked Up Violations**

A professional sports team’s coach has been handed a lengthy penalty due to violations that occurred during their previous stint as an assistant coach at a prominent university. The governing body of college athletics announced the decision, which stems from a scheme orchestrated by the coach to circumvent restrictions put in place during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The coach facilitated impermissible contact with numerous prospective student-athletes, including organizing unauthorized tryouts, facility tours, and entertainment. Additionally, they directed an assistant to engage in tampering with a player enrolled at another institution and traveled out of state to observe and meet with prospects during a recruiting dead period.

The penalty, which will take effect if the coach returns to college coaching, includes a suspension for the first football season and prohibits any contact with the program’s coaches or players during that period. The coach was found to have provided false or misleading information during the investigation and refused to provide financial records.

The report also highlights the coach’s abuse of power, using their position to pressure staff members into engaging in violations, often by threatening their job security. A former university staff member stated that the coach believed they were above the law due to their perceived wealth.

A former analyst at the university also received a penalty for their role in the violations. The governing body had previously punished the university with probation, fines, and recruiting restrictions due to the violations.

The coach, who has since moved on to the professional ranks, issued an apology for their actions, stating that they had made “business decisions” that were not in line with the rules. The professional team declined to comment on the matter.
