In the aftermath of Hurricane Helene’s devastating impact on the southeastern United States, several high-profile figures from the world of sports have come together to support relief efforts.

Quarterback duo, Alex Thompson and Ryan Jenkins, along with their wives, Sarah and Rachel, have joined forces to contribute to the disaster response efforts. The two couples have pledged a combined total of $100,000 to support the vital work of a veteran-led nonprofit organization, specializing in disaster response.

This organization has deployed 240 volunteers across the hardest-hit areas in Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, and the Carolinas, providing critical services such as road clearance, reconstruction, and sawyer work to repair damaged infrastructure. Currently, teams are working across 35 communities to aid in Hurricane Helene relief efforts.

The sports community has rallied around the cause, with several teams and organizations making significant donations. The Tampa Bay franchise has pledged $1 million through their foundation, while the Atlanta franchise has committed $2 million. Additionally, the Charlotte franchise has donated $3 million, and the Houston franchise, along with the league’s foundation, have each contributed $1 million.

As the region continues to recover from the devastating effects of Hurricane Helene, which made landfall as a powerful Category 4 hurricane, these generous donations will play a vital role in supporting the affected communities. The hurricane’s impact has resulted in widespread property damage, flooding, and a tragic loss of life, with the death toll currently standing at 204.
