Star Player to Miss Week of Action with Calf Injury

The Dallas Mavericks announced on Wednesday that their star player will be sidelined for at least a week due to a left calf contusion. The injury occurred during a recent workout, but fortunately, it’s not expected to impact his availability for the team’s regular-season opener against the San Antonio Spurs on October 24.

The Mavericks are currently in Las Vegas for training camp and will kick off their preseason schedule on Monday with a home game against the Memphis Grizzlies. This isn’t the first time the player has dealt with a calf issue, as he suffered a strain during last year’s preseason trip abroad. However, he was able to recover in time to play in the regular-season opener.

Despite this minor setback, the team remains optimistic about their chances this season, with their star player expected to be back in action soon.
