**Solanke Earns England Call-Up for Nations League Matches**
Tottenham Hotspur forward Dominic Solanke has been selected for England’s upcoming UEFA Nations League fixtures against Greece and Finland. The 25-year-old striker will join the national team for their matches at Wembley on October 10 and in Finland on October 13.
Solanke, who made a £65 million ($83m) summer transfer to Tottenham, has impressed with three goals in five appearances this season, following a successful spell at Bournemouth last term, where he netted 19 goals in 38 Premier League games.
England’s interim head coach, Lee Carsley, praised Solanke’s attributes, saying, “Dom’s a player I’m familiar with, having worked with him in the past. He’s done exceptionally well at Bournemouth and has carried that form into his time at Spurs.”
Solanke, who earned his first England cap in a 2017 friendly against Brazil, joins Chelsea’s Levi Colwill in the squad. Meanwhile, Aston Villa’s Morgan Rogers has been omitted despite a strong start to the season.
Other notable inclusions are Chelsea’s Cole Palmer, Real Madrid’s Jude Bellingham, and Manchester City’s Phil Foden, who were unavailable for the previous matches against Republic of Ireland and Finland. Nottingham Forest’s Morgan Gibbs-White and Lille’s Angel Gomes have retained their places in the squad.
When asked about his future as England’s permanent head coach, Carsley remained tight-lipped, stating, “My focus is on these three Nations League camps. It’s a challenge picking the squad, and I’m comfortable with my situation.”
