Veteran Forward Inks Deal with Western Conference Contender
On Friday, a seasoned NHL forward agreed to a one-year pact with a prominent Western Conference team, solidifying his spot on the roster. The 32-year-old winger impressed team brass during the preseason, notching two goals and an assist while posting a plus-4 rating in four exhibition contests.
Prior to inking the deal, the veteran forward was attending training camp on a tryout basis. Last season, he tallied 13 points, including five goals and eight assists, in 54 games with his previous club.
A Stanley Cup champion in 2014, the accomplished forward has amassed 285 points, comprised of 138 goals and 147 assists, in 644 career games with four NHL teams. He was originally drafted 30th overall in 2012.
