**Dolphins’ Offense Looks to Turn Corner with Beckham’s Imminent Return**
Miami Dolphins wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. is set to take the practice field this week, marking a significant milestone in his recovery from an undisclosed injury. Coach Mike McDaniel confirmed the news on Tuesday, stating that Beckham will participate in team drills for the first time since signing with the Dolphins in May.
Beckham, who inked a one-year deal worth up to $8.25 million, has been sidelined since the start of the regular season. He must be added to the active roster within 21 days or revert to the inactive list for the remainder of the season. Although eligible to return as early as this week’s matchup against the New England Patriots, the decision to activate him will be made later this week.
The Dolphins’ offense, ranked 26th in the league, has struggled to find consistency, averaging a paltry 11.3 points per game. Quarterback instability has contributed to the team’s woes, with Tyler Huntley set to make his second consecutive start in place of the injured Skylar Thompson and Tua Tagovailoa.
Despite Monday’s 31-12 loss to the Tennessee Titans, McDaniel expressed optimism about Huntley’s performance, citing aspects of the game that inspired confidence moving forward. “There’s reasons for guys to be excited about that,” McDaniel said. “While the output wasn’t nearly what we wanted offensively, there was some things to build upon that we will keep working through.”
The Dolphins will likely be without pass rusher Jaelan Phillips this week, who exited Monday’s game with a knee injury. In his absence, the team will rely on veterans like Emmanuel Ogbah and rookie Chop Robinson to bolster its pass rush.
