**Monday Night Football Recap: Lions Roar Past Seahawks**
In a thrilling matchup at Ford Field, the Detroit Lions emerged victorious, defeating the Seattle Seahawks 42-29. The Lions’ offense was firing on all cylinders, with quarterback Jared Goff throwing for 292 yards and three touchdowns, including a 70-yard connection with receiver Jameson Williams.
The Lions’ running backs, Jahmyr Gibbs and David Montgomery, combined for three rushing touchdowns in the first half, while the offensive line stepped up in the absence of Pro Bowl center Frank Ragnow. The unit’s protection allowed Goff to go a perfect 18-for-18 on the night.
One of the most impressive performances came from the Lions’ duo of Goff and Amon-Ra St. Brown, who became the fifth duo in NFL history to each have a pass and receiving touchdown in the same game. Meanwhile, Gibbs and Montgomery tied for the most games with a rushing touchdown by a Lions duo in franchise history.
On the other side, the Seahawks struggled to keep up despite a strong performance from quarterback Geno Smith, who set career highs in completions and passing yards. However, a crucial fumble by DK Metcalf late in the first quarter proved costly, as the Lions capitalized on the mistake to take a 14-0 lead.
The Seahawks’ defense, already depleted by injuries, was further hampered by the loss of Julian Love in the first half. Despite their efforts, they were ultimately unable to contain the Lions’ potent offense.
In the end, the Lions’ victory marked their first regular-season win over the Seahawks since 2012. They will look to build on this momentum as they head to Dallas to face the Cowboys next week. The Seahawks, meanwhile, will regroup and prepare to host the New York Giants on Sunday.
