**Double Blow for Struggling Squad as Two Key Players Sidelined**
In a devastating turn of events, a top-flight club has been dealt a severe injury blow, losing two crucial players to anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) tears in the span of just two games.
The latest casualty is 22-year-old summer signing, Inma Gabarro, who suffered the injury during Sunday’s 1-0 defeat to Manchester United. The Spanish player was stretchered off the pitch in the 11th minute following a collision with United’s Leah Galton.
This news comes on the heels of a similar injury sustained by key midfielder Aurora Galli during the opening game of the season. Galli went down in the 87th minute of the 4-0 loss to Brighton, leaving her manager concerned about the severity of the injury.
Following Gabarro’s injury, the manager expressed similar worries, stating, “We think it’s a big one again, but let’s see… We are really hurting, it’s two key players that mean a lot for us. Inma is a terrific talent, she has showcased that in the few minutes that she was on the pitch today. I feel for her, for both of them.”
The double blow will severely impact the team’s squad depth and ability to compete in the top division and cup competitions. With a significant injury crisis already plaguing the team last season, the loss of these two players will be deeply felt.
The team will face Newcastle in the League Cup on Wednesday night, followed by a trip to Arsenal on Sunday in the top division. Gabarro and Galli will undergo rehabilitation and are likely to miss the entire season.
