**F**ck the Haters, It’s Football Season!

In a thrilling matchup, the Green Bay Packers fell short against the Minnesota Vikings, losing 31-29 at Lambeau Field on Sunday. Quarterback Jordan Love made his return to the field after a two-game absence due to a knee injury, and despite struggling early, he nearly led his team to an improbable comeback.

Love’s performance was marked by a career-high 51 pass attempts, resulting in 389 yards and four touchdowns. However, he also threw three interceptions, all of which came on passes of over 10 yards in the air. His accuracy was off, completing just 8 of 23 passes on such throws, with a 35% completion rate being the lowest in a game of his career.

The Vikings’ pressure defense, led by coordinator Brian Flores, blitzed Love on 25 of his 56 dropbacks, forcing him to throw 24 passes against the blitz. Love acknowledged his own mistakes, citing poor ball placement and missed throws early in the game.

Despite the struggles, Love’s teammates rallied around him, with wide receiver Jayden Reed catching seven passes for 139 yards and a touchdown, and Dontayvion Wicks finishing with five catches for 78 yards and two touchdowns.

Coach Matt LaFleur praised Love’s resilience, saying he looked more comfortable as the game progressed. LaFleur also acknowledged the team’s slow start, admitting they didn’t envision throwing the ball 50 times.

The Packers’ 22-point fourth quarter and Love’s return have left the team encouraged, despite their 2-2 record and trailing the unbeaten Vikings in the NFC North. Running back Josh Jacobs expressed confidence in Love’s ability to make big plays, saying, “You never feel like you’re out of the game with him.”
