**TEEN TENNIS SENSATION COCO GAUFF GETS BACK TO WINNING WAYS IN BEIJING, SHUTS UP THE HATERS WITH FIRST VICTORY SINCE US OPEN DEBACLE!**

In Beijing, the China Open tennis tournament heated up as top players took to the courts. Coco Gauff, ranked sixth in the world, secured a spot in the third round with a 7-5, 6-3 victory over Clara Burel. Gauff’s win came after saving a set point in the first set and will face Katie Boulter of Britain in the next round.

Gauff’s recent split from coach Brad Gilbert has not seemed to affect her game, as she continues to dominate on the court. The American tennis star will look to build on her momentum after a disappointing fourth-round loss at the US Open.

In other matches, Carlos Alcaraz, ranked third in the world, withstood a strong challenge from Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard, winning 6-4, 6-4. Alcaraz took advantage of costly errors from his opponent to secure the win.

Daniil Medvedev also advanced to the next round with a 6-3, 6-4 victory over Gael Monfils. Roman Safiullin, a lucky loser in qualifying, pulled off an upset over three-time major winner Stan Wawrinka, winning 6-3, 6-4.

In the women’s draw, Jessica Pegula, seeded second, cruised to a 6-1, 7-6 (4) win over Diane Parry of France. Pegula will face Veronika Kudermetova in the next round.

Four-time major winner Naomi Osaka rallied from a set down to defeat Yulia Putintseva 3-6, 6-4, 6-2. Osaka will face American Katie Volynets in the third round.

Meanwhile, at the Japan Open in Tokyo, second-seeded Hubert Hurkacz suffered a surprise loss to US Open semifinalist Jack Draper, 6-4, 6-4. Draper will face Brandon Nakashima or Ugo Humbert in the quarterfinals.

Defending champion Ben Shelton reached the quarters with a 6-4, 6-3 win over Mariano Navone. Matteo Berrettini took the opening set tiebreak against Arthur Fils of France before retiring from the match with an injury.
