**FUCKING UNSTOPPABLE: New Blood and Underdogs Powering Broncos’ Destructive D**

The Denver Broncos’ defense has faced its fair share of challenges just four weeks into the 2024 NFL season. Despite the obstacles, the team has risen to the occasion, showcasing its depth and resilience. Defensive coordinator Vance Joseph praised his unit, saying, “We have guys who are doing things right… It’s a smart group. It’s young in some areas, but it has enough veterans to push us forward.”

The Broncos entered the season with a revamped defensive line, new safeties, a new inside linebacker, and a key opening at cornerback. However, they’ve adapted seamlessly, with the defense currently ranked among the league’s top four in several categories, including sacks per pass play, total sacks, red zone defense, total defense, scoring defense, defensive efficiency, pass defense, and third-down defense.

One player who embodies the Broncos’ defensive spirit is linebacker Justin Strnad. After not playing a single snap on defense since October 2021, Strnad was thrust into the lineup due to an injury to Alex Singleton. He responded by sacking Aaron Rodgers on the first play from scrimmage and finishing with four tackles and two tackles for loss.

The offseason changes to the defensive line have also paid dividends. The acquisition of John Franklin-Myers and Malcolm Roach has allowed Zach Allen to flourish, with Allen recording a tackle for loss in every game this season. The Broncos boast nine players with at least one sack, and their 16 total sacks rank second in the NFL.

Cornerback Riley Moss, a third-round draft pick in 2023, has also risen to the challenge. Despite being targeted frequently, Moss has 29 tackles, two pass deflections, and a fumble recovery in four games. His teammates praise his mental toughness, with Pat Surtain saying, “He just moves on to the next play and that’s big time for him.”

While the Broncos acknowledge they still have work to do, their defensive unit has made significant strides. As starting safety P.J. Locke put it, “We’re resilient… We just dealt with things and played.”
