Monday Night Football Recap: Titans Secure First Win, Dolphins Struggle Continue
The Tennessee Titans finally got their first win of the season, defeating the Miami Dolphins 31-12 on the road. Quarterback Mason Rudolph stepped in for an injured Will Levis and led the Titans to victory.
The Titans’ defense was dominant, limiting the Dolphins to just 184 total yards. The running game was also a key factor, with 142 rushing yards and two touchdowns.
For the Titans, the win brings much-needed momentum heading into their bye week. Coach Brian Callahan will have to decide on a quarterback for the next game, with Rudolph’s performance providing a strong case for himself.
On the other side, the Dolphins’ struggles continued, with their third straight loss. Quarterback Tyler Huntley, signed from the Baltimore Ravens’ practice squad, failed to impress, finishing with just 96 passing yards.
The Dolphins’ season is at risk of slipping away, with their record being their worst start under coach Mike McDaniel. They remain the only team this season not to hold a lead for even a second, and their lone win came thanks to a field goal as time expired in Week 1.
The Titans will face the Indianapolis Colts in their next game, while the Dolphins will take on the New England Patriots, looking to turn their season around.
