The Los Angeles baseball team has made a few roster moves ahead of their final regular-season game. They’ve called up outfielder James Outman from their Oklahoma City affiliate and sent rookie left-hander Justin Wrobleski back down to Triple-A.
Outman, 27, is returning to the big leagues for the fourth time this season. In 52 games with the team, he’s hit.148 with four home runs and 11 RBIs. However, he’s had more success in Oklahoma City, where he’s batting.279 with 17 homers and 46 RBIs in 69 games.
A career.231 hitter, Outman has 28 home runs and 84 RBIs in 207 games since 2022. He was drafted by the team in the seventh round of the 2018 draft out of Sacramento State.
Wrobleski, 24, had a strong outing on Saturday, earning the save in the team’s 13-2 win over the Colorado Rockies. He threw four shutout innings, striking out four and allowing two hits and two walks. Since making his major league debut in July, Wrobleski is 1-2 with one save, a 5.70 ERA, and 26 strikeouts in 36⅓ innings over eight games.
In the minor leagues, Wrobleski had a combined 6-4 record with a 3.76 ERA, 104 strikeouts, and 31 walks in 95⅔ innings over 20 games. He was drafted by the team in the 11th round of the 2021 draft out of Oklahoma State.
