Top-tier football coach, Marco Hernandez, has made a shocking revelation about his feelings towards interacting with the media. Ahead of his team’s upcoming match against Lyon, Hernandez confessed that he would be willing to take a substantial pay cut if it meant he could bypass speaking to the press.
“I must admit, I do enjoy our banter,” Hernandez said with a hint of sarcasm. “However, if I had the opportunity to opt out of these press conferences and take a 50% reduction in salary, I’d sign on the dotted line without hesitation.”
Hernandez, who has previously managed several prominent teams, including Sevilla and Inter Milan, expressed his frustration with the constant scrutiny and repetitive questioning from the media. He particularly lamented the post-game press conferences, citing a lack of energy to deal with certain topics.
This is not the first time Hernandez has shown his annoyance with the press. During a recent news conference, he was asked about a former player’s performance at a rival club, and his response was telling. With a mix of exasperation and humor, Hernandez replied, “Good heavens! Are you still here? Did you enjoy the summer break? Good.”
The media’s fixation on the player’s transfer saga had clearly worn thin on Hernandez, who has grown tired of being asked the same questions repeatedly. In a previous press conference, when asked about his conversation with the player regarding their departure, Hernandez responded with a witty remark, saying, “I think today is a lovely day, perfect for taking a stroll. The rain reminds me of my hometown, and I believe I’ve answered your question perfectly.”
