**F**cking Baseball Is Back, You P**sies!

As the 2024 baseball season comes to a close, several teams are breathing a sigh of relief after securing a spot in the playoffs. However, others are left wondering when they’ll get their chance to shine in the postseason.

One team that’s been waiting for a while is the Los Angeles Angels, who have been absent from the playoffs since 2014. They now hold the dubious distinction of having the longest active postseason drought in baseball.

But they’re not alone. The Pittsburgh Pirates and Colorado Rockies are also struggling to find their way back to the playoffs, with droughts dating back to 2015 and 2018, respectively.

If we look back further, there are some teams that have experienced even longer periods of postseason futility. The Washington Nationals, formerly known as the Montreal Expos, hold the record for the longest MLB postseason drought, missing out on October baseball for 29 years from 1982 to 2011.

Other teams that have endured lengthy postseason droughts include the Kansas City Royals, who went 27 years without a playoff appearance, and the Texas Rangers, who waited 26 years for their next taste of postseason action. The Cleveland Guardians, formerly the Cleveland Indians, and the Milwaukee Brewers have also experienced droughts of 25 and 24 years, respectively.

For fans of these teams, the wait can be agonizing. But with each new season comes a fresh chance to turn things around and make a push for the playoffs. Only time will tell which teams will break their droughts and make a deep run in the postseason.
