**F**ckin’ Baseball: The Unfiltered Truth

DENVER – In a thrilling display of skill, slugger Shohei Ohtani propelled the Los Angeles Dodgers to a 13-2 victory over the Colorado Rockies on Saturday night, bringing him closer to achieving a rare Triple Crown feat.

Ohtani’s impressive performance saw him collect two hits, raising his batting average to.310 and narrowing the gap with league leader Luis Arráez, who is hitting.314. With one game remaining in the regular season, Ohtani’s chances of overtaking Arráez are still alive.

The talented player leads the league with 54 home runs and 130 RBIs, and is on track to become the first National League player to win the Triple Crown since 1937. Ohtani also stole his 58th base of the season, adding to his remarkable stats.

Teoscar Hernandez and Enrique Hernandez each hit three-run homers for the Dodgers, who tallied 18 hits and scored at least 11 runs in consecutive games for the first time since last July. Teoscar Hernandez is now just one RBI shy of reaching 100.

Manager Dave Roberts expressed optimism about Ohtani’s chances, saying, “We’ll see if Shohei can throw out another big day.” Teammate Teoscar Hernandez echoed the sentiment, recalling Ohtani’s impressive three-homer, 10-RBI game earlier this month and hoping he can replicate that success.

Yoshinobu Yamamoto earned his first win since June, giving up two runs and four hits over five innings while striking out six. The Dodgers clinched the best record in the majors and home-field advantage throughout the postseason earlier in the day.

Enrique Hernandez finished with three hits, including a 430-foot homer in the second inning, while Teoscar Hernandez’s career-high 33rd homer in the fifth put the game out of reach. Ezequiel Tovar hit his team-leading 26th home run for the Rockies, who suffered their 100th loss of the season.

Manager Bud Black acknowledged the disappointing season, but emphasized the importance of looking towards the future and the progress the team has made. Charlie Blackmon, who will retire after 14 years in the majors, scored a run and went 1-for-4 in his penultimate game.
