**Breaking News: Los Angeles Sparks Part Ways with Head Coach Curt Miller**
The Los Angeles Sparks have announced that they have mutually agreed to part ways with head coach Curt Miller, effective immediately. Miller, who has been at the helm of the team for the past two seasons, expressed his gratitude to the organization for the opportunity to lead the team.
“I want to thank the entire Sparks organization for the chance to help rebuild the franchise,” Miller said in a statement. “I’m proud of the culture we’ve created in our locker room, and I strongly believe the roots have been established for a bright future.”
Despite a challenging season marred by injuries, including to rookie sensation Cameron Brink, Miller remains optimistic about the team’s prospects. “The team is now positioned for success, and I wish the players the best heading into the 2025 season,” he added.
Miller’s tenure with the Sparks was marked by a 25-55 record, and the team failed to make the playoffs for the fourth consecutive season. However, his overall coaching record in the WNBA stands at an impressive 165-141, with a stint as head coach of the Connecticut Sun, where he led the team to the WNBA Finals in 2019 and 2022.
The Sparks organization has already begun their search for a new head coach, with governor and managing partner Eric Holoman expressing appreciation for Miller’s dedication to the team. “We wish him well moving forward and are excited to find a new leader to take our team to the next level,” Holoman said.
