**F**K THE NFL’S INTERNATIONAL EXPERIMENT!

The Morning Kickoff Conundrum

There’s a certain charm to waking up early on a weekend morning and catching a live football game from across the pond. It’s a nice change of pace, a chance to enjoy some coffee and relax while watching a gridiron battle unfold. But as the NFL continues to expand its international reach, I find myself torn.

On one hand, I appreciate the effort to grow the game globally. It’s exciting to think about fans from different cultures and countries coming together to cheer on their favorite teams. However, I’m strongly opposed to the idea of turning the NFL into a global spectacle. There’s something special about watching a game in a team’s home stadium, surrounded by their loyal fans.

And then there are matchups like the upcoming clash between two struggling teams in Germany. It’s a far cry from the thrilling contests we typically see in the NFL. Both teams are struggling to find their footing, and it’s likely to be a low-scoring, uneventful game. I’m not sure even the most die-hard German fans will be enthusiastic about watching this one.

The bigger question is, what’s the point of showcasing these teams in an international setting if they’re not even competitive? It’s not like the fans in attendance won’t notice the lack of talent on display. If the game turns out to be as underwhelming as expected, the crowd should let their displeasure be known.

It’s also worth wondering how long the current coaches and quarterbacks will remain in their positions. With both teams struggling, it’s likely we’ll see some significant changes before the season is over. The owners will want to shake things up, and that usually means a coaching change or a quarterback switch.

In the end, it’s hard to justify subjecting international fans to a subpar product. The NFL should focus on delivering high-quality matchups that showcase the best of the sport, rather than trying to artificially create a global following.
