**NFL Playoff Picture Takes Shape as Season Enters Week 4**

As the 2024 NFL regular season approaches its midpoint, the postseason landscape is starting to take form. With only a few weeks of action under our belts, some teams are already positioning themselves for a deep playoff run, while others face an uphill battle to secure a spot in the 14-team field.

Using advanced analytics, we’ve projected the remainder of the season, examining the playoff prospects for each conference. We’ve also updated the odds for every team to make the postseason, win their division, and even secure a Super Bowl berth.

**AFC Contenders Emerge**

Two teams in the AFC boast a 90% or better chance of making the playoffs, with the Kansas City Chiefs leading the way at 96%. The Buffalo Bills are close behind, with a 90% likelihood of securing a postseason spot. If the Bills win on Monday night, they’ll join an elite group of undefeated teams, including the Chiefs, Vikings, Steelers, and Seahawks.

The Pittsburgh Steelers and New York Jets are both strong contenders, with an 80% chance of making the playoffs. Our projections give the Steelers a 50% chance of winning the highly competitive AFC North. On the other end of the spectrum, the New England Patriots face an uphill battle, with only an 8% chance of making the playoffs.

**NFC Surprises Abound**

In the NFC, the Philadelphia Eagles have rallied to take control, with an 85% chance of making the playoffs. The Minnesota Vikings and New Orleans Saints are hot on their heels, with 76% and 69% chances, respectively. The San Francisco 49ers’ Week 3 loss to the Los Angeles Rams has dropped their playoff odds to 64%, while the Seattle Seahawks, despite their 3-0 start, face an uncertain future with only a 53% chance of making the playoffs.

The Carolina Panthers are the lone team with less than a 10% chance of securing a postseason spot, despite their impressive Week 3 win over the Las Vegas Raiders.
